9:00AM to 7:30PM Have you ever wondered what shopping was like before credit cards, how money has changed and how much you could buy with a dollar on a trip to the store a hundred years ago?
Count Your Pennies is a bilingual traveling exhibit from Currency Museum of the Bank of Canada. The coins and monetary units in this exhibit are on loan by Members of the Niagara Coin Club. In the context of a trip to the store during the early decades of the 20th century, this exhibit showcases currencies in common use, and demonstrate the growing standardization of Canadian banknotes and coins.
The exhibit opens on July 14 and continues to September 13, 2010. The Centre for Conservation at Ball’s Falls is located at 3292 Sixth Ave., Jordan, ON. and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5.50 for adults; $4.00 for Seniors/Students; Max. per car is $15.00; $100.00 per busload. Admission fee includes access to the exhibit.
